This Privacy Policy describes how Soundie (operated by an individual developer) ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Soundie mobile application (the "App"). We designed Soundie around a simple principle: your data stays on your device.
The following information is created by your use of the App and stored exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to us:
You can permanently delete all of this information at any time by deleting the App.
If you purchase a subscription:
Apple Inc. processes the payment through your Apple Account. We never receive your name, e-mail address, payment card details, or billing address. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
RevenueCat, Inc. (www.revenuecat.com), our subscription-management provider, processes the minimum data required to validate purchases and maintain your subscription status across app launches:
RevenueCat acts as our data processor and does not sell this data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. This processing is necessary for the performance of the purchase contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and/or our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and delivering purchased content (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
We (the developer) can view only aggregated, pseudonymous subscription statistics (e.g., number of active subscribers); we cannot identify you from this data.
We do not collect, and the App contains no technology for collecting:
If you set a wake-up alarm, the App schedules a local notification on your device as a backup alarm. Local notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device; no notification data is sent to us or any third party. You may revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal information, no such data can accumulate; if you believe a child has provided personal data through a purchase flow, contact Apple to manage the transaction and us at the address below.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR, the UK, California under CCPA/CPRA, and Türkiye under KVKK), you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection regarding personal data. Because we do not hold personal data about you, most requests can be fulfilled by:
We do not discriminate against users who exercise privacy rights. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
Information that stays on your device is protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption). Purchase validation traffic is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; to the maximum extent permitted by law, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data processed by third parties.
Purchase validation by Apple and RevenueCat may involve processing in the United States and other countries. Such transfers are carried out under the safeguards described in those providers' privacy policies (including, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
We retain no personal data. Locally stored data persists until you delete it or the App. Pseudonymous purchase records are retained by RevenueCat/Apple for as long as required for subscription management, accounting, and legal compliance under their respective policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
